“I am so very glad to have found this community. Because of the advice on approaching GPs for referral, I’m 3/4 through the diagnosis/treatment path.

I find the support and community at group invaluable, even with all my anxieties and social issues and hang ups.

For me, it feels like a truly safe space and I’m very grateful to Ashley and everyone else for all the work that goes into it. If you’re considering it, pop along.

10/10”

“We really appreciated all the effort put into these sessions and having remote sessions like this really help keep people involved no matter how far away they are.”

“Through Dopamine Dolls I’ve gained practical tips to help me manage my ADHD better. But the group has done so much more for me than that. It’s provided me with reassurance that the way I think, and the way I act, is normal and is ok. And it’s given me the opportunity to meet people who understand me and who accept me for the way I am.

I’m still learning about my ADHD, but I’m much further along in my journey than I would have been without Dopamine Dolls.”

“The fortnightly support group is respite and a recharge for me. A safe space to take off the mask and be unapologetically myself, secure in the knowledge I'm understood and not judged.”

“Dopamine Dolls has been an absolute lifeline while waiting for assessment and diagnosis. Ashley is so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable and it has been amazing to spend time with other people who understand the struggles!

The mixture of online and in-person events is perfect for me as I live quite far out of Inverness. I’ve loved the more formal sessions with professionals, it’s made information really accessible because finding support and figuring out the ins and outs of the diagnostic process in Highland is really tricky.

The support group and the coffee catch up sessions are great because everyone is so approachable and you always come away with a wee tip or recommendation to try which really helps. I love that there’s no pressure because you can be late, you can come and go, there’s refreshments and fidgets, so it’s perfectly comfortable for neurodivergent folk!

I’m really grateful for the Dolls’ support as I await assessment and looking forward to future events!”
